Typical of the country, a lot in wood. Eat good. Family business. Sometimes a bit hectic operation in the restaurant.

Reservation advisable, even at 5:30 p.m. Here you can expect upscale cuisine at a good price. Both meals were perfect and tasty. We'll come back here on our next vacation.

We spent a lovely week in the Black Forest. On arrival we were greeted warmly and then shown to our beautiful room. Super furnished and clean. We really liked the balcony with the beautiful view. The location of the hotel invites you to relax and enjoy yourself. The food and the service were very good. Despite the changes due to Corona, a good solution for breakfast was found. All in all, we felt very comfortable and hereby make an absolute recommendation. We will definitely come back.

Unfortunately we were only 3 in this beautiful country inn and felt very comfortable. The room was very appealing, the staff very friendly and accommodating, the food exceeded all expectations. Great place , great service

Super friendly, you really feel like a guest. Excellent food, one of the best Wienersnitzels ever, the fish was also great. Can be busy, book a table on time even if you sleep there. Room was perfectly clean, but outdated with a 2.0m bed with foot end, which is really too small for us. Hence 1 star less. Lovely place to go back to.

Today is our last day in the Black Forest and then in the afternoon we got this tip from our landlady at the Schnapsbeckenhof. We loved it. Pleasant premises. Friendly staff and the food just delicious. Strammer Max a little different, but ingenious and should be tried. We would love to come back.

This is something special here, we realized today that we have been coming here for 15 years. Today there was tender venison with guilt noodles and cherry sauce. So delicious! I hope we can look back over the next 15 years :-)

We went to All Saints' Day with the whole family and were all very excited. As expected, the restaurant was well attended, the service was very warm and courteous. The menu offers a variety of exciting and tasty-sounding dishes at a fair price. Some time passed between the order and the meal on the table, but all meals were 9 pieces) at the table at the same time. All dishes were already served and tasted very tasty. My deer was tender and cooked to the point. We'd love to come back;)

Really good food. The french fries where great, the kids pancake was really good as well. The best however was the saddle of venison for 2. The meat was super tender and delicious. The Spätzle and the 2 gravies where also very good! Great experience!

Snobbish service. We wanted to have a meal here during a hike, but this never happend. We were ignored by the waiters and when we finally got one to speak she said no service and turned around. This is porobably the worst stuck up service I've had in a very long time. Ignore this place, even if it's located conveniently....

Nice place and good service but I got a watery soup which was supposed to be a Kurbis Soup! It remembered me of Oliver Twist :)

Very surprising high quality restaurant. Prices are very reasonable given the excellent food and simple yet perfect design and atmosphere. Don't miss the hirschsteak (beutifully made steak).
